12 Dates in 12 Months

Every Christmas my husband and I gift each other an experience versus a tangible item. Being the first year with a baby, we have discovered together time (outside of the house) is precious. Right after El was born, we thankfully had multiple babysitters eager to volunteer. However, instead of using these babysitters for quality together time, we were booking for work events, Target runs, and mediocre dinner conversations.

Knowing that we could succumb to the same monotonous date nights, I suggested our Christmas gift to each other be six well planned, creative, and thoughtful dates under $100.

The Rules

  1. Your date cannot exceed a set amount.
  2. You have to plan, order, arrange, etc everything for your date
  3. You have to arrange a babysitter
  4. Be creative
  5. Keep the date a SURPRISE!

With him taking the odd months, and I the even, on Christmas Day we gifted envelopes containing all the details for that particular month’s date. At the beginning of each month, we open the respective envelope.
